So you do it for Nothing?

So you do it for Nothing?

by Bob Grant

So, you do it for nothing – what’s wrong with you friend?

It’s the money, for certain, on which we depend.

You can’t buy the stuff that goes on the walls,

You can’t buy the things you see in the malls.

You can’t buy that boat that goes at great speeds,

You can’t buy those bobbles, bangles, and beads.

You can’t buy that bike that roars a loud noise,

You can’t buy that Big Screen and other man toys.

You can’t buy that ticket to places afar,

You can’t buy the boys a round at the bar.

Doing something for nothing instills profits for free –

That true basic pleasure it provides only to me.
